Readers Ask: Why Not Keep Cash Instead of Parking Euros With the ECB for Negative Returns  (1)
By assuring that there are insurance and warehousing costs in deciding to park the euros at the ECB, this answers implies that banks deposit physical cash at the ECB, which is not the case.

Please, try a different answer for everyone to better understand the reasons

Gold Daily and Silver Weekly Charts - Non-Farm Payrolls Tomorrow
Dear Jesse.

One suggestion for a chart.

Why not a comparison over months or years between COMEX & NYMEX data on gold delivery notices and COMEX total gold in their warehouses?

And so we may see the relative effect that daily data on delivery notices may have with COMEX inventories.

CME Reports That Brinks Has a Seventy Percent Decline in Registered Gold Bullion Supply  (5)
Correct me if I am wrong but at http://www.cmegroup.com/delivery_reports/Gold_Stocks.xls you can see that Brinks had 133,522 registered ounces as of August 6th. Or is this figure one month delayed as you say? If that is the case, that the data is one month delayed...shouldn't we have already noticed the effects of depletion? Wouldn't it impley that nothing happened for the last month? Regards

Breakdown: Three Tons of Food Looted From Grocery Stores In Spain As Millions Struggle  (4)
A few word on this.

The looting is part of a marginal far-left political movement.

Regarding looking for food in garbage bins and the rest...sadly this is something thas is being going on for a few years now. Spain has enjoyed economic development since the 1960s with the logical ups-and-downs during this long time, particularly downs in the 1970s, and early 1990s. But there has been widespread...

Economist Fired for Expressing Opinions on Max Keiser Show; Errors in Observation  (2)
With all due respect...that spinning is, as you know, the money circulation speed and is something very real not limited to banks activities. If general confidence in the future drives me to spend my precautionary savings and stores receiving my money invest in stocks...that makes money "spin" throughout the economy and, as you know, circulating money is calculated as money multiplied by its circulation speed.

Spanish Banks Account for 47 of ECB Credit in February; Spain Will Implode.  (6)
Hey Mish. Just for you to know, Spain's GDP is some 1.09 trillion EUROS (not USD) so it exceeds USD 1.34 trillion. Your calculations lead to a 76% Debt to GDP ratio. That is, of course, assuming your figures are right and guarantees on private banks issuances of debt are equal to debt. By the way, people at Zero Hedge would seem to have the same problem in converting USD to Euros. 7.5% of Spain's GDP would excee...
